富貴陶園 林文祥
自富貴陶園藝廊創立以來，首位合作的藝術家就是吳明儀先生，屈指一算與他相識也將近十六餘年，觀看他一路而來對於陶藝的創作與研發歷程，不難發現『突破自我』是他堅持創作的動力！
吳明儀先生因家傳陶瓷祖業之故，從小耳濡目染的他，縱然對於陶藝有著一股無法言喻的強烈情感，一路而來在陶藝創作的道路上，可以從作品中發現他不斷在傳統與創新之間，來回耕耘付出並尋求技術上極致的突破，也更因他個人無畏懼困難的人格特質，讓他的陶藝生涯更為豐富多采多姿，不論在技法、技術或是釉彩上，作品的呈現不時有令人驚豔及驚喜的創新突破！
此次吳明儀先生柴燒的個展發表，是距上次展出之後，十年來累積的心力所成。柴燒的創作過程是艱辛的，就作品構成的元素中，『火、土、柴、窯、人』等，皆需要經驗累積及毅力的堅持方才能完成，吳明儀先生就窯體的結構、土質的分析、到木柴的選擇等等，皆不難發現他為柴燒創作所投入的用心與執著，同時觀看他的作品既可發現，這些年來的努力結晶是會不斷的引領著觀者，更融入及瞭解柴燒世界的多元和繽紛，也一定能讓更多人對於柴燒的認知及瞭解有著更深切的體認！
藉由此次柴燒作品的展出，我們可以感受到吳明儀先生對陶藝充滿生命力的熱情，和不斷尋求自我突破的堅持與用心，也讓這股動能轉化成他個人的創作底蘊，讓柴燒的神秘色彩愈來愈加活絡地在觀者的認知中，進而引領更多人深入的體認柴燒之美，為柴燒再創新風貌！

Wu Ming-Yi is the very first artist that the gallery works with since its foundation. As a friend of his for nearly 16 years, I've witnessed his commitment to the creation and development of ceramic art. It's not hard to find that "breaking his own limits" has been the key driver of his creation.
Born in a potter family, Ming-Yi is influenced by what he has seen and heard in the family and has a deep affection towards ceramic art. In every creation, he devotes himself to improvement and technical breakthroughs between tradition and innovation. His fearless spirit also enriches and brightens his career path. Whether it's techniques, technology, or glazing, Ming-Yi's works constantly brings eye-opening amazement to the public.
This solo exhibition is the fruit of Ming-Yi's wood-fired pottery works over the past ten years since last exhibition. The process of wood firing is arduous. The elements of ceramic works-fire, clay, wood, kiln, man-all need to be refined through experience and perseverance. If we look into the structure of his kilns, his study on soil, and his choice of wood, it wouldn't be too difficult for us to understand how much effort and determination he has put into. His works will definitely lead its viewers to walk into the enchanting and colorful world of wood-firing, and to walk out with a deeper understanding and appreciation of it.
In this exhibit Ming-Yi's passion for ceramic art and his perseverance towards self-breakthrough are clearly revealed. These characteristics not only have become the foundation of his work, but also will help more viewers to have a better understanding and deeper appreciation of wood firing.
